Recruitment agencies
are the mediator between you and your destination. So when you approach a
recruiting firm, they would expect you to be well prepared and aware of the job
post you are applying for. Therefore you too have to be ready in your mind to
pass the initial test with flying colours. Getting approved by the recruiters
will ensure whether or not you will be able to climb further. Since you are
including them to make your job search procedure better and hoping to get a
meaty result, you have to consider their opinions.
Now, things that you
can expect while dealing with them in person are briefly given below.
The First Stage
At first, when you are
meeting recruiters, you would be given a form to fill some details about you.
Alongside you will be asked to submit your resume followed by a small verbal
introduction of yourself. If you are approaching the recruiter over the phone,
in that case, they would opt for a telephonic interview of yours. According to
Mr. William Almonte, while giving
self-introduction, you must not say anything out of the box to present yourself
as unique. It may ruin your first appearance which tends to last longer.
The Second Stage
Despite providing
substantial information about your work experience, some agencies are likely to
abide by some employment rules. This is to validate whether you are legally
allowed to work or not.
The Third Stage
After completing the
formalities on paper, they will have an interactive session with you asking you
various questions about your job preference or the previous experiences. You
have to prioritise it as much as you would the final interview with the
employers. As many a time recruiting agencies are appointed to take care of the
initial interview rounds on behalf of the employers. You will be asked various
tricky questions to extract the truth from you. They will try to validate
whether you are genuinely interested in the job and how long you are likely to
survive. You will be given some hypothetical situations to assume and answer
accordingly. This way they will judge your true potential and desperation for
the job. They are to pick up some deserving candidates for the clients so they
would like to verify how worthy you are before short listing you.
The Fourth Stage
Thereafter comes the
skill test for the job you are applying for. In this regard, you must be well
acquainted with the basic requirements. Like you must have impressive verbal
and written communication skill alongside possess technical knowledge. Mr. William Almonte believes it is one of
the crucial stages to get selected. Because no matter how well did you convince
them in the previous interactive round, you have to score high in these
practical tests. These tests will be taken to assess your capability for the
job responsibility. How far you will be able to perform while on duty is to be
evaluated.
Once you qualify all
the tests set by them, you will be shortlisted, and further, be assisted in
cracking the final interview with the employers. Also, your CV will be enlisted
in their database to inform you for future opportunities.
